In occasione della mostra PastPresentFuture - Le collezioni Fondazione Cariverona e UniCredit Group: arte per la città, in programma presso il Palazzo della Ragione di Verona dal 27 febbraio al 3 giugno, saranno esposte circa 80 opere d'arte appartenenti alla Collezione del Gruppo UniCredit assieme ad otto capolavori della Fondazione Cariverona.
L'esposizione, promossa da UniCredit Group e Fondazione Cariverona con la collaborazione ed il patrocinio del Comune di Verona, arriva nella città scaligera, unica tappa in Italia, dopo la "prima" al Bank Austria Kunstforum di Vienna.

PastPresentFuture - Le collezioni Fondazione Cariverona e UniCredit Group: arte per la città, curata da Walter Guadagnini con un allestimento firmato da Stefano Gris, propone una continuità passato-presente-futuro attraverso quattro secoli di arte europea, presentando opere antiche e contemporanee riunite per temi, che caratterizzano le sette sezioni in cui si sviluppa la mostra. Lo spettatore è cosi stimolato a riflessioni sui temi classici della storia dell'arte: il rapporto dell'uomo con il mondo e la natura, la rappresentazione di sé, il corpo e gli oggetti.
La mostra, visitabile sul sito www.artcollection.unicreditgroup.eu, si apre con uno dei capolavori della scultura italiana del XX secolo, la "Donna che nuota sott'acqua", il marmo realizzato da Arturo Martini nel 1941-42, acquisito dalla Fondazione nel 2005. Tra le altre opere "veronesi" della mostra si segnalano "Barene a Burano" di Gino Rossi, due capolavori di Alberto Savinio e Giorgio Morandi, l'imponente "Varsavia" del 1960 di Emilio Vedova.

Traces follow us and we follow traces, constantly. Impressions, material sediments – relics that point to a former presence. No matter where we are, we are always confronted with the remains of other people, creatures and events. They all produce recognisable traces. Our mere presence in a place can later be reconstructed on the basis of signs unintentionally left behind. In seeing signs and trying to interpret or follow them, we become trace-readers. Yet at the same time we are all traceleavers, for as soon as we move on we automatically leave behind traces. Finally, the inattention of the trace-leaver provokes the heightened attention of the trace-reader.

The exhibition Fische hinterlassen keine Spuren focuses on the phenomenon of the trace in contemporary art. It unites different artistic positions so as to follow these sometimes visible, sometimes intangible signs. Trace leaver or reader, observer, actor or interpreter – these all have one thing in common: an evident engagement with the different visible forms of the trace, and the use of the tactics of the trace-leaver by the artists. They bait the viewers, enticing them to pursue the trace left and thereby drawing them into events, letting them literally become trace readers themselves.
