Steve Bishop

steve-bishop-1

Steve Bishop an artist whose works are part of the Saatchi Collection also makes use of the medium. Interested in the fetishisation of the art object his work often combines taxidermy with other media such as fluorescent industrial lights and concrete borrowed from the minimalist tradition. His work presents the taxidermy out of its normal context, thus drawing attention to it and further exploring the fetishisation of animal life and by extension the art object.
