In the edition of 200 numerated and signed copies of his artist book, Gabriele Di Matteo accurately reproduced in all its details the original catalogue from Pollock's retrospective at the Centre Pompidou in 1982 but leaving in blank the pages where Pollocks paintings were reproduced.
Again Di Matteo is interested in opening new points of view through the process of the copy: the fact of not reproducing the paintings, puts the focus on the story of Pollock's life, and thus in the way in which the typical catalogue reconstructs and documents the artist's mythology.
“Gabriele Di Matteo Re-Print - Jackos Pollock” 2008
Federico Luger is pleased to present “Posters original” by Luis Molina-Pantin.
“Posters original” is a photograph made in Buenos Aires that is coherent with the spirit of Molina-Pantin’s ready-made images: the artist chooses a deserted image and charges it with new significance. The edition consists of 80 copies and is numbered following the years from the beginning of the world cup in 1930 until 2010.
